Delicious ways to reduce food waste

Health Benefits of Butter

Butter has been enjoyed for thousands of years by traditional cultures. These cultures were people like those in Olde England, those in the primitive Swiss villages and even the Mongolians whose staple diet was milk products and meat. It is a natural healthy fat and when consumed as raw butter has several health benefits. It is not the bad fat it has been made out to be. In fact, those that eat margarine have twice the heart disease as those that eat butter. So how can butter make us healthier?

  1. I’ve done some interesting research on butter and cheeses, it’s interesting that fat is the first thing that is burned by the body as a source of energy, so I agree that it’s been misunderstood. If consumed properly it helps regulate fat content in the body.

    • It’s true. Humans have been eating butter for such a long time and it was never an issue…until “margarine” gained the status of “healthy” spread and butter started been blamed for everything – obesity, high cholesterol, heart disease, etc. Oh, plueease…
I inherited from my father a “Familial hypercholesterolaemia”, high cholesterol and triglycerides that has nothing to do with life style since it’s genetic, and has no known cure for it. I decided to take the “treatment” in my own hands, did lots of research, studied Nutrition (still do), and with the help of physical exercises and good nutrition, now I can control the problem (and I refuse to take statins).
